Key NCR replacement/refurbishment components

In this post, I'm going to discuss what I think are the key components in making NCR replacement/refurbishment monitor.

First and foremost, a panel.
OK, I can't emphasize enough on this.
The cheaper you can get an A-grade or A minus grade panel, the better.
I used A-grade LG and AUO panels for all my NCR monitors.
Do note that there is a solid price difference between A-grade and A minus grade even though most buyers use A minus grade.

In retrospect, I regret having used A-grade panels as they're expensive and naturally they ate up some of my margin.
I was taught by my superior that I must use A-grade panel but as I learned ABC of the business I noticed it really doesn't make any difference whatsoever if I used A-grade or A minus.
So, yeah, I highly suggest you use A minus panels whenever you can.

But there is a problem to finding A minus grade panels.
It is near impossible to find AUO A-minus panels unless you have inside connection.
As for LG panels, it is still very difficult, not nearly as hard as AUO if you live in South Korea.
And I do have connection even though I never used A-minus panels.
So if you need my help on finding A-minus LG panels, please e-mail me.

Second, a board that can work with NCR software.
The company I used to work for got NCR testing software from the company they supplied.
So this is something you can't do on your own.

Lastly, some electronic cables and etc.,
These things can be found anywhere and they're not really important if you can do the above 2 things.

OK, I hope you found what you're looking for in this post.
In my next post, I will be talking more in detail on the variety of panels.
